Fire Destroys Home in Carriage Town Neighborhood, Also Destroys UM Flint Urban Alternatives House

The Jackson- Hardy House, a 36 room boarding home that was set to receive a $330,000 grant for restoration, was destroyed by a fire early this morning. The home next door, used as the UM Flint Urban Alternatives house, was also destroyed. There were no injuries and it is not clear if this was a case of arson.
